Witherby Publishing Group marks its 285th anniversary with the launch of a new commemorative logo. This is to highlight the company’s longstanding commitment to producing operational, navigational and technical standards for the shipping industry.
Since merging with Seamanship International in 2008, Witherby Publishing Group has expanded its reach, delivering high quality publications to over 110 countries. Led by Captain Iain Macneil MNM, DUNIV, the company continues to grow its catalogue, publishing essential industry titles for organisations such as ICS, OCIMF, SIGTTO, BIMCO and IACS. Witherbys also collaborates with maritime authorities and pilot organisations to develop and update Passage Planning Guides for key regions, including for the Straits of Malacca and Singapore and The Panama Canal.
The company’s eBook platform, Witherby Connect, provides digital access to key industry standards, including ‘Bridge Procedures Guide’, ‘Liquefied Gas Handling Principles’ and ‘International Safety Guide for Oil Tankers (ISGOTT)’, ensuring maritime professionals stay up to date with regulations, best practices and IMO guidelines.
Witherby Publishing Group’s CEO, Captain Iain Macneil said:
